Just in time for summer, we have a cocktail recipe that is just as awesome as our patios. This was inspired by a traditional whiskey press recipe. Did you know that whiskey “press” is short for Presbertyrian and was originally made with scotch? Both of which were conceived in Scotland! Other than the nationality, the true connection between this libation and the church is a little muddled.
For your Patio Press you will need:
-2 ounces of whiskey
-Club soda
-Ginger ale
-1-2 ounces of lavender simple syrup*
-Lemon
*we used lavender syrup from Roast Rider Coffee; a local coffee shop here in Virginia Beach.
Directions:
Pour 1-2 ounces of whiskey into your glass filled with ice.
Then add 1-2 ounces of lavender simple syrup (you can adjust the amount for sweetness).
Squeeze ½ a lemon into glass (you can adjust the amount for tartness).
Add equal parts club soda and ginger ale.
Garnish with a lemon wedge or a lavender sprig.
We hope you enjoy this refreshing cocktail on your brand new patio under your K-bana Pergola. Please follow us on all our social media platforms for information on an upcoming grill giveaway and product details. Cheers!
